Fruit Raita
A side dish made with yogurt, fruits & seasoned with spices.

Hi Folks! So here I am back with another raita recipe. You have already seen my recipe of Vegetable Raita which is a personal favourite. I always prefer eating Vegetable Raita Pulav or Biryani however at my hometown in Gujarat raita is made sweet in taste and with lots of fruits

This Fruit Raita is best suited for occasions and also when you have guests over lunch or dinner. It is a great side dish that gives a royal and sophisticated touch to your meal. Needless to say this Fruit Raita is extremely healthy and full of nutrients as it requires very less sugar and has the natural sweetness of fruits. This raita is also spiced up with a little pepper powder. It is also a great option for quick dessert

So let's proceed step by step for making fruit raita

You can take fruits of your choice to make Fruit Raita. I have used banana, apples, pomegranate seeds and strawberries. You can also add other fruits like pineapple, passion fruit etc

Peel the skin and finely chop apple and banana. Cut the pomegranate into half and remove the seeds

Beat the curd till its smooth with very little water if required

Add pepper powder to the well beaten curd

Now add sugar and little salt. You can add sugar according to your taste as adding sugar makes raita sweet

Add water and stir well

Now add the fruits

Mix well all the ingredients and our mixed fruit raita is ready

Serve this fruit raita chilled as a snack or dessert.
