Healthy paratha recipe made with oats and Indian spices
Have you ever tried making paratha with oats? Paratha is a Indian flat bread made in every household. We make many different kinds of parathas like aloo paratha, pudina paratha, gobi paratha, methi paratha etc. So this time I decided to make the parathas even more healthier by adding oats.
Oats parathas are stuffed with oats and lots of Indian spices. I have also added some methi (fenugreek) leaves and coriander leaves to give nice flavors to the parathas.
Oats are very rich in fiber and also absorb extra cholesterol from your body. Due its health benefits Indians have started using oats in a lot of dishes like oats upma, oats sheera, oats idli, oats paratha etc. By just giving a little thought you can customize you traditional recipes to use oats and make an all new dish. Enjoy every bite of this healthier and flavorful paratha with some masala chai for breakfast and it will be a perfect start to your morning
I have used quick cooking rolled oats for this recipe. Quick cooking oats as the name suggests are easy to cook. Many have asked me so just clarifying these are not instant oats. There is a lot of difference between instant oats and quick cooking oats.
