A black grape juice with lots of vitamin C, just right for summers!
Well summers have officially arrived in India. Temperatures are soaring each day. In-spite of the heat Indians never fail to enjoy the lovely dishes made during this season. Summer offers wide variety of fruits which are not available during any other season like mangoes, watermelon, guava, sweet lime etc. pineapple and lettuce salad is a perfect salad to make during this season. Black grapes are beautiful edible pearls which can be eaten fresh and raw or as dried raisins. Black grapes have lots of benefits and they are retained in the juices also
Whenever using black grapes make sure you clean them first before using. You can check how to perfectly wash the grapes in their natural way here. I always use this method.
So lets proceed step by step for making black grapes and imli punch
Soak the imli/tamarind in warm water for 15 minutes
Crush the imli and strain it to get pulp
Take the washed black grapes and place it in a juicer
Add sugar to it and make juice
Strain the juice using a juice strainer. With the help of spoon press the pulp in the strainer well to drain all the juice
Now add the imli pulp to the black grape juice. Also add black pepper powder and black salt and stir well all the ingredients
Pour the above prepared juice in chilled glass. Now pour some soda water and serve chilled. I have poured half glass juice and rest half glass with soda water

- 2 cups Black Grapes
- 2 tablespoon Imli/Tamarind
- 4-5 Ice Cubes
- 1/2 tablespoon Black Salt
- 1/4th tablespoon Black Pepper Powder
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 cup Soda Water
Instructions
- Soak the imli/tamarind in warm water for 15 minutes

Tips
- You can even buy the ready made black grapes juice, but always use a good reliable brand with 100% fruit juice.
- I had to soak imli/tamarind and remove its pulp, however imli pulp is available in market easily, you just add water and ur imli water will be ready.
- If you want to serve this drink to your guests as mocktail for a party, serving in wine glass will be more presentable.
