Gujarati's cannot live without gathiya, dhokla, undhiyu, thepla etc. And gathiya is a weakness of every gujarati. Every sunday breakfast is gathiya in almost every gujarati household.
When we are living outside gujarat we miss food the most. However now a days there are shop vendors who make gathiyas. But the side dish(sambharo ) we get with gathiya is really missed.
Many say we can get gathiya in ready made in haldiram packet too. But sambharo is something we really miss. So today i am sharing the simple yet a very important side dish every gujarati loves. Khacha Papaya no sambharo(spicy papaya stir fry) and papaya nu khaman( grated papaya salad)
Serve this sambharo and khaman with gathiyas, green chillies and tea. A perfect sunday breakfast.
So lets proceed step by step for making Papaya Sambharo for gathiya
Take nice green raw papaya
Cut it into half
Remove the seeds and peel the skin
Grate the whole papaya. Leave half of the grated papaya aside.
In a kadai heat oil and add mustard seeds
Allow the mustard seeds to crackle and then add half of grated papaya. Add turmeric powder & salt and mix well.
Cook on a low flame for 2-3 minutes. Grated papaya sambharo is ready.
Now for making raw papaya salad. Take rest of the grated papaya add salt and red chilli powder
Mix well and spicy raw papaya salad is ready
Serve papaya sambharo and spicy papaya salad with gathiya & green chillies.

INSTRUCTIONS
- Take nice green raw papaya
- Cut it into half, remove seeds and peel its skin
- Grate the whole papaya. Leave half of the grated papaya aside
