Sweet and spicy chutney made with peanuts and coriander leaves


There are many different kinds of chutneys being made in Indian kitchen. Each chutney has its own flavours and taste. Some dishes are just incomplete without chutneys like chaats, pakoras, Parathas etc. There are many variations with the same ingredients to make chutney. 

This recipe of Peanut Coriander Chutney is a Gujarati style chutney and is almost made everyday in our home. Actually coriander leaves are very beneficial and should be used in our day to day lives. 

This chutney is a little spicy and sweet at taste. Peanuts gives the lovely texture to the chutney. I also make other chutneys like Khajur Imli Chutney,  Peanut Green Chillies Chutney, Garlic Chutney, Fresh Mint Coriander Chutney

Coriander Leaves needs no introduction to Indians. It's a famous ingredient used to make chutney or garnish some delicious food. For making Peanut Coriander Chutney you will require a nice bunch of fresh coriander leaves.


So let's proceed step by step to make peanut coriander chutney

You require very few ingredients to make peanut coriander chutney. Coriander leaves, salt, sugar, peanuts and lime juice

Wash and chop the coriander leaves. In a grinder add peanuts

Some chopped and little spicy green chillies, salt and sugar

Grind it for a few seconds to make a coarse mixture

Now add the chopped coriander leaves and grind it with very little water if required

Add lime juice immediately

Again give it a quick churn/whiz and your chutney is ready

Peanut coriander chutney is ready.

Ingredients
  • 1bunch fresh Corainder Leaves
  • 1/4th cup Peanuts
  • 1/4th tablespoon Sugar
  • 2-3 Green Chillies
  • Salt to Taste

Instructions
  1. Wash and chop the coriander leaves. In a grinder add peanuts
  2. Also add chopped green chillies, salt and sugar
  3. Grind it for a few seconds to make a coarse mixture
  4. Now add the chopped coriander leaves and grind it with very little water if required
  5. Add lime juice immediately
  6. Again give it a quick churn/whiz and your chutney is ready
