
Khajur Imli or Dates and Tamarind chutney is sweet and sour chutney. It is used in all chats. I have added jaggery to this chutney to make it more sweet but its optional if you like it a little more sour. It also tastes great with
Farali Pattice, Dahi Vada, Batata Vada etc.
So lets proceed step by step.
In a vessel heat about 1 cup water and boil the Khajur (Dates) and Imli (Tamarind) for about 2 minutes. Switch off the stove and keep the Dates and Tamarind soaked in the same water for about 30 minutes.
Strain the mixture through a sieve with the help of a spoon. You can even grind it then sieve.

Add jaggery, salt, coriander leaves, red chilli powder and chillies.
Mix well all the ingredients and serve with Farali Pattice or Batata Vada

Red Chilli Powder

Chopped Green Chillies

Chopped Coriander Leaves

Salt To Taste
